Birthday bake sale: Organize a Key Club birthday party themed bake sale where volunteers can bake and sell treats. You can include cupcakes, cookies, and other sweets with a birthday twist. Clearly label items to identify any potential allergens.
Dress-up sale: Gather gently used formal dresses, bow ties and suits to sell. Advertise at your high school or area youth centers before an upcoming dance or event.
Halloween costume sale: In early October, sell gently used costume items.
Used-book sale: Collect books from friends and neighbors and host a book sale. Add some carefully labeled baked goods (clearly identify any possible allergens) for an additional fundraising opportunity.
School spirit sale: Gather gently used school or team T-shirts, accessories or other memorabilia and set up a resale shop at a sporting event.
Yard sale: Collect donations of clothes, toys and household items and host a Saturday morning yard sale. For added revenue, sell coffee and breakfast items.
Dress Down Day: Collect donations (US$1 per person) to dress down at school. Must be preapproved by school leadership.
Themed-dress days: Organize days for which students pay a small participation fee to wear particular types of apparel. Examples include pajama day, hat day or sports jersey day. Must be preapproved by school leadership.
Farmers market: Set up a booth at a local farmers market to sell homemade goods or crafts.
Car wash: Host a car wash event with student volunteers.
Trivia night: Organize a fun trivia competition with entry fees and prizes.
Principal challenge: Challenge the principal to do something fun, like wearing a silly outfit, if fundraising goals are met. Challenge should be fun, not harmful.
Pizza party: Partner with a local pizzeria for a pizza night fundraiser.
Candy grams: Sell candy grams around Valentine’s Day/Galentine’s Day or during winter holidays.
Crowdfunding campaign: Set up an online crowdfunding page for your cause.
Holiday gift wrapping: Offer gift-wrapping services during the holiday season.
Art show: Showcase and sell student artwork.
Cooking or baking class: Teach a cooking/baking class and charge a participation fee.
Talent show: Host a talent show and charge admission.
Dance-a-thon: Ask participants to collect pledges for every hour danced. The longer they dance, the more money they raise.
