Members from around the world gathered in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S., July 10-14 to grow as leaders, make new friends, celebrate tradition, elect leaders and recognize achievements during the 2024 Key Club International Convention.

The highlights included:

Leadership elections
Congratulations to 2024-25 Key Club International President David Robaina from the Southwest District and Vice President Carissa Andorf from the Nebraska-Iowa District. Their dedication and vision will help guide Key Club to new heights.

Certified delegates also elected the 2024-25 Key Club International Board and voted on amendments to the Key Club International Bylaws.

Awards and honors
Two prestigious awards were presented during the convention. Barry Chisholm and Brian Egger received the Key of Honor, the highest award given by Key Club International. The Key of Honor recognizes individuals or organizations that have made a lifelong positive impact on youth and Key Club. Scott Sims received the Marc H. Litwack Legacy of Leadership Award, an honor celebrating former Key Club members who exemplify extraordinary leadership qualities and have made significant contributions to their professions and communities.

Centennial celebration
We’ve launched Key Club’s centennial celebration! In 2025, Key Club will celebrate 100 years of service, leadership and positive impact — and the countdown began at convention.

Speakers and workshops
Known for her advocacy in early childhood literacy, Rania Zuri inspired attendees with her dedication and achievements. Country artist and former Key Club International president W.B. Sims, along with his band, captivated the audience with a high-energy performance. Olympic gold medalist Laurie Hernandez and Paralympic gold medalist Evan Austin shared their journeys of overcoming challenges to achieve personal victories. And over 42 workshops were held on a variety of topics, including Balance and Burnout, Lieutenant Governor Training, Service in Style, and How to Build Meaningful Relationships.

GLC Master Class
Congrats to the Global Leadership Certificate students who completed the 2024 master class at the Key Club International convention. Forty members from 21 districts in the U.S., Canada and Jamaica engaged in discussions, debates and case studies, including a Peace Corps example. Special guests Scott Sims and Eric Sturgis shared their leadership experiences and answered questions.

Service project
During the convention, many of us gathered to repurpose shopping bags into waterproof mats. These mats were donated to Hope through Soap in Atlanta, proving yet again that creativity and community service can make a meaningful impact. Thanks to all who contributed!
