What are you most looking forward to this year?

This year, I am super excited to be serving as co-chair of the Programs & Partners Committee. Having served in a similar position for the California-Nevada-Hawaii District last term, there is a breadth of ideas and initiatives that I would love to implement. Beyond that, the Programs & Partners chairs from last term set an amazing precedent, and I’m excited to build off their work to grow the UNICEF Champions program, our relationship with Schoolhouse and the new, finalized environmental partner. Finally, exploring service opportunities with our programs and partners is extremely valuable work, as the core of Key Club is service.

What do you like most about Key Club International?

So far, my favorite aspect of Key Club International is the people! I have met Key club members from all backgrounds, cultures and walks of life. It is so fun and fascinating to learn about the little things in their lives that are normal to them but foreign to me. I have already learned so much as a leader and as an individual by being surrounded by such diversity.

What is your favorite Key Club memory and why?

One of my favorite Key Club memories has to be the California-Nevada-Hawaii District’s 2022 Summer Board Training Conference. It is a tradition for the district board to participate in a “Summer Olympics.” Through the workshops, activities and competition, I grew so much closer to my committee and the leadership team and was reminded of the people and community that makes me love Key Club.

What is your career ambition? Historian/U.S. ambassador to the United Nations

Hobbies outside of Key Club: Photography, reading, sculpting clay, playing tennis, thrifting with friends

Favorite movie or TV show: “My Neighbor Totoro”

Favorite book: Amy Tan’s “Joy Luck Club” or Michael Pollan’s “Botany of Desire”

Favorite food or snack: Anything matcha
