The Key Club at Central High School District of Westosha of the Wisconsin-Upper Michigan District received its first Youth Opportunities Fund (YOF) grant for its service project with Together We Rise, an organization that provides care packages to children in foster care. By combining the YOF grant with other sources of funding from their community, Key Club members successfully collaborated to increase their outreach to kids in foster care. Care packages created by the members not only help kids to feel better while going through difficult situations, but this project also increased awareness in the community about foster care.

You can apply for a YOF grant for your club ranging from US$250 to $2,000. Grant applications should include the results of a community needs assessment and a complete budget sheet. Apply by October 15 to receive funding for December-January or apply by February 28 to receive funding for March-April.
