Bob Palys receives Key of Honor

Bob Palys has been the Key Club advisor at Holly Pond High School for 25 years. In that time, he has influenced his students to strive for the best—and they’ve done just that. For his achievements, Palys was honored with the 2014 Key of Honor during this year’s Key Club International Convention in Anaheim, California.

The highest honor bestowed by Key Club International, the Key of Honor recognizes individuals who have gone “above and beyond” to serve the world’s youth. The history of the Holly Pond Key Club during Palys’ time there shows why he was recognized.

The club has received first-place honors for 22 consecutive years, including awards for “Most Improved Club” and recognition as “Best Club Overall” in the Alabama District. Clearly, Palys not only teaches students inside the classroom, but coaches them to become great leaders outside of it. Congratulations to Bob Palys on this well deserved recognition!
