It’s here!

The Key Club International Member Update Center is new, improved and ready to use!

Organize your club’s information easily and quickly with the new user-friendly system. What’s in it for you:

  • Faster processing (you can add or delete several members at once)
  • The best features of the old version (you can export rosters to Microsoft Excel)
  • A new database to avoid unnecessarily entering information that doesn’t change from year to year
  • A way for members to update their own info (coming soon)

Check out the new Membership Update Center today. If you need more help, go to www.kiwanisone.org/advisor for a training video to help you navigate the new system’s features.

I noticed that the membership center requires an email and a password - something that wasn't there before - and I keep clicking the Register/Reset Password button. When I click that, the center asks me for an email, which I type in and submit, but nothing happens...I was told that we would get information in the mail to register, but my club hasn't gotten anything. Early Bird is soon and my club wants to be one of the first ones in our district to turn in dues, but the center is not working. WHAT DO I DO!!!??? HELP!!!! Thanks. :D

Does anyone happen to know what the girl in the middle of the front page in the september 2012 issue of key club magazine?

I have now emailed 2 times and called and still do not have a password to record members and pay dues.  I will be VERY upset if we don't get an early bird patch due to this issue.

My sponsors email must not be in the database, because when she puts in her email, nothing happens. I think this is because she is a new sponsor. What is going on? I've been trying to get this solved for weeks.

the password should have been sent to your advisor's e-mail. the log-in email is also your advisor's.

I have been trying to get into the MUC for over one week now and I receive a message that states that I am unauthorized.  I called them and had them fix this issue but now it appears there may be another issue.  I have tried to reach someone named "Chris" to resolve this as I was told he was the only capable of fixing my problem but "Chis" has not returned the three messages that I left.  I need to get this resolved.  Help!

I am having the same issue. I am a new advisor this year and the previous advisor is not available to assist with sorting this out. I attempted to "Register" for the MUC but was redirected to a page to request a forgotten password. I tried that but never received a link for anything. I sent an email to the helpline but they replied that it "should" work to click on the register link as long as I am the registered advisor. How on earth do I update the advisor information if I can't even register to use the MUC?

    Step-by-step instructions for the MUC:
    1. Go to www.keyclub.org/MUC to access the Membership Update Center.
    2. Click "Register/Reset Password."  All clubs should click on this link, regardless of whether or not they have paid dues in previous years or not.
    3. You'll be prompted to enter an email address.  If the faculty advisor who paid dues last year is still your faculty advisor, then enter his email address.  He should receive a confirmation email informing him that his email address has been recognized and providing him with a unique hyperlink which will allow him to set his own, new password to access the Membership Update Center whenever he'd like.
    4. If you have a new faculty advisor or your faculty advisor's email has been rejected, then you will need to email memberservices@kiwanis.org with a request to update your club's faculty advisor contact information before you can set yourself a password and get into the system.  Once your information is updated, then you should be able to go through the process detailed in step 3.
    5. After you have set a new password for your club, then you will be able to log into the Membership Update Center in future years using your advisor's email address and your personal password.  For more details about how to navigate the system once you are logged in, please see Kiwanis' help video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tfAvudii-w&feature=youtu.be.

    Other notes:
-Although all of our clubs received a letter in the mail this year, as usual, there is no ID number or password provided to clubs this year.  Please do not try to sign into the new Membership Update Center using an ID number or password from a previous year, as these are no longer being used to access the MUC.  Instead, all clubs, new and old, must complete the process of setting a new personal password.  Clubs will be able to use this password to access the Membership Update Center every year from here on out.
-Login privileges will also be provided to club secretaries whose email is on file with Kiwanis International.  As club secretary emails have not been a requirement in the past, it is unlikely that you will be able to reset your password using the email of your club secretary from last year (although you might).  However, once you do long into the MUC, I would encourage you to add a club secretary (and a corresponding email) to your list of club officers.  After being added, your club secretary should be able to long into the MUC using his/her email address and update records on behalf of your club using the club password.  The eventual goal is to have Key Clubs re-enter the MUC after officer elections and update their club officers (particularly club secretaries) so that logging in is a simple process when it time to pay dues the following year.  If officer information is updated immediately following elections, when a club still has regular contact with its outgoing officers, then this will help ensure that Key Club's database of secretaries is current when October 1, 2013 rolls around and that next year's secretaries don't encounter the same problems as this year's secretaries.  I am sure that the International Office will have more information and reminders regarding updating officer contact early next year.
-The Early Bird dues deadline has been pushed back to November 16th, which should give everyone time to work out any glitches due to the new system.  If, however, you are prevented from getting an Early Bird patch specifically due to troubles with the system, then Key Club International will do whatever we can to make the situation right.
