Hello Phoenix!

by Connie Kim

It was a great day here in Phoenix, Arizona at Key Club ICON 2011! I am very much enjoying this change of weather from the typical "60 degrees and overcast" that we PNW District members live in.

We started off the day dressed up in our snazzy business professional outfits and heading over to the grand ballrooms for opening session. The overwhelming amount of spirit displayed by all of the attendees reminded me once again of the amount of enthusiasm we Key Clubbers share for service. No matter our backgrounds or the environment we live in, we are all united together in our love for service and lending a helping hand.

Opening session pumped us up for the rest of the week at ICON 2011 and also for The Eliminate Project [www.theeliminateproject.org]. I’m so glad we learned more information the project today, so I can bring back ideas to my division. I can’t believe that only US$1.80 can save and protect the life of a mother and her child! I’m excited to attend The Eliminate Project workshop tomorrow to learn more about how Key Clubbers in Division 27 of the PNW District can contribute to this wonderful cause.
