A celebration of Key Club

Key Club plaqueThis historical plaque was erected at Sanford High School in Sanford, Florida, to commemorate Key Club becoming Key Club International during the 1st Annual Key Club International Convention in 1943. Malcolm Lewis, the first Key Club International president, was elected at this convention. Later moved to what is now Seminole High School, the plaque now resides outside the guidance department.

Recently, the Florida District located the plaque that commemorated this significant moment in Key Club's history. Malcolm K. Lewis, the first Key Club International president and G. H. Martin, who has a fellowship named after him, are listed on the plaque for their exceptional support to Key Club.

Thank you to Mr. Mike Gaudreau, Seminole’s principal, and Jose Josinvil who took the picture of the plaque.

Below, Key Club International’s first president, Malcolm Lewis appears with current Key Club International President XinLei Wang.

This is pretty cool. Its mind blowing to see how far we have come as an organization. Its inspiration for us to go even further in the future.
